This policy explains what data Mesoplane handles on this website (mesoplane.com) and in the Mesoplane browser companion, our Chrome extension. We keep it short because we collect little.
The website
The mesoplane.com website uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. This sets cookies and records standard analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location by region, and device type. We use it in aggregate to improve the site. We do not sell this data.
If you contact us or sign up, we keep the details you give us (such as your email address) to run the product and reply to you.
The browser companion extension
The Mesoplane companion is a side panel that talks only to a Mesoplane control plane that you choose and pair it with. It is designed to hold as little as possible.
- What it stores locally. A pairing token and the address of your control plane, kept in the browser's extension storage on your own machine. That is what lets the panel stay paired between sessions.
- Where it sends data. Only to the control plane you paired it with. That may be a server you run yourself or your organization's hosted Mesoplane. The extension does not send your data to Mesoplane's own servers unless your control plane is hosted by Mesoplane, in which case it is covered by your agreement with us.
- What it does not do. It holds no cloud credentials. It does not track your browsing, show ads, or use analytics inside the extension. It reads the AWS Console page you are viewing only to show relevant operations, and it never automates the console on your behalf.
- Your kill switch. Revoke the pairing at any time in the console or from the command line, and the panel drops back to the pairing screen. Removing the extension deletes its local storage.
Data we do not collect
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data to train models. The extension does not transmit your activity to any third party.
